Montreal & Hamilton (2021-2)

$$ . Canada, CAD

Some local trips with Justin as the pandemic chaos died down a bit. Mostly eating trips, shot primarily on iPhone.

Montreal (2021)

Lots of eating: Schwartz, Au Pied de Cochon, Croissant Croissant, Jérôme Ferrer par Europea, and St. Viateur.
We also drove across the Jacques Carter Bridge to pay a quick visit to Julie.

We waited 1 hour in the rain for some smoked meat sandwiches, and then hauled a frozen hunk back to Richmond Hill for my parents.
The night before we left, I woke up in a cold sweat because I dreamt I forgot to bring it with me.

Au Pied de Cochon was decadent and we ate at 9 (the only reservation left). I woke up in the middle of the night with cramps from overindulgence.

One of my friends recommended Croissant Croissant and demanded us to take a photo for him.
I'm glad he did—we audibly gasped when we bit into our first croissant. It was that good.

Jérôme Ferrer par Europea was mighty expensive and painfully filling.
The experience was quite interesting though and I'd recommend it for the pseudo Michelin star experience.

Hamilton (2022)

Hamilton was also similarly eating-centric and shot on iPhone.
We walked around McMaster University (for the memories), made chocolate truffles with Chocolate Tales, and fell deeply in love with some dishes at Rapscallion & Co.

Rapscallion & Co was an incredible restaurant. The whipped feta is to die for. I still think about what we ate from time to time.
